-Improved morale system
-More penalties for retreating, but more rewards for staying put
-Less interfering animals
-Toned down invasions, now all difficulty levels can be played
Being my second map, the Battle of Hastings is once again another attempt at a large scale battle. No fortifications and lots of troops.
Because the sprite limit is severely strained in these types of battles, please notify me of any bugs that have been found and I will do my best to change them. (ie. knights chasing deer, unmoving troops, etc.)
I was rather shocked to find another superb Hastings map created by Alan Spencer. I used a morale based system very similar to his own and I give him my sincerest congrats for beating me to the idea (by quite a margin). Maybe next time I'll get a more unique map subject...
Change history by playing as the Saxon King Harold Godwinson and defeat the Norman army under Duke William. Are you up to the challenge?
Recommended difficulty is Normal, but beginners can play the game at easy. Experts will find that playing at Hard will severely test the sprite limit so once again, it will be appreciated if I am told about any bugs that occur throughout the game. Please read the guide for the map or some beginners will be sorely disappointed.
