Early scouts reported that the Rain Forest was not adequate to expand your Kingdom, because of the unstable and wet terrain that surrounds it. But newly discovered resources were found during an excursion in the Rain Forest, suggesting that you could build up an economy by extracting the more-than-enough resources to repair and maintain your aging castle. But other Kingdoms have noticed this discovery too, and have also started establishing encampments in the Rain Forest to take control of it. Relations with these other Kingdom couldn’t be worse, so expect some early casualties. Stakes are high, and firm land to build your castle. Are you courageous enough to face death in this all-out mission, for you Lord?
Although this map is possible to be played with 8 players, I would recommend that you play 4 players. I made 4 upper keeps, and 4 keeps in the wetlands, to give each player a fair chance to decide where they wanted to start, near the ressources or with a height advantage.
I put this map as Impossible, because for instance, there is not alot of space to build, regardless where you start. If you feel that it should be lowered to hard, please let me know.
*If anyone has ANY suggestions for a better name for this map, please let me know*
I must lastly thank eather_megaphone for his map on Dark Forest. Its all thanks to him that I was able to create the Rain Forest.
Dude, this is an good example of a 5 Story. Simple and short, and gets the theme going! Think about the rainforest and other lords fighting over the green jungle. It is also 8 player, so you have another reason to call this a masterpiece. In fact I added to the other categories because of the story and environ. I took off a point for the balance, which is hard (not impossible). Put weak comps in and you have a excellent 4 player vs. 4 comp stompage. The designer should get credit for his hard work on a even harder project, the 8 player map. Most 8 player maps are too close for comfort and you are cramped. This is not like that!
