The War for the Independence of the Walled City of Watersedge

Based on some D&D map work of old, The Walled City of Watersedge is a fictional place. It is however a place that has its own set of problems. The two players (allied) start in a mutually owned keep controlled by player 1. The keeps have individual starting buildings and designated area for resources. Player 1 controls the stone quarries and has his own set of orchards inside. Player 2 will control his own underground iron mines with its own controlled gate for security (represented by a the high ground area inside). Outside however is where the secret to this map really is clearly seen. Each player controls 'blocks' of walled compounds that have their own resources. The areas: a ranch style(cowfarm) complex, a orchard area, pitch rig compound, and a wooded area surround by walls. These areas are key to the success of the city and its fight for independence from its oppressive lord! Place a Sultan Lord directly across the long canal dividing the map. You can add a Rat lord to the other area right of the bridge. The bridge area, and nearby urban sprawl (represented by the walled area on the sultan's side of the bridge) is where most of the 'street fighting' will take place. The give and take here is intense war for control of the bridge area. Each player starts with his own standing army (albiet very small). As the game progresses each player will micro-manage his walled security areas limited resources and build soldiers. Check out the unique design on the fountains and canal access points. The main compound is mostly a natural water source (mainly eye candy, but also quite defensible). This map is a work of art, I must say, and also very fun to play with one other person. My wensite is currently down. I originally designed this to play against the computers. But since we are thinking about starting a Communal Map 2, maybe this map or a map like it could be a start. Other walled compounds could be built on the map, by other players and all played against a 40,000 K sultan and rat multiplayer game or against other expert human players.
