CHECK OUT THIS MAP - my first submission to this really terrific community. Cheers, B.

This has been, admittedly, the best map I have created. I have never played such a lyric story of a Stronghold map that truly pits two Warlords against one another in an epic battle.
The theme is a rich but lazy mountain people who are assaulted by a band of desert nomads.
Play against your favorite opponent!
All the best,
Ben

For best results, start out with FEW initial units, especially once familiar with the geography of the map - but your mileage may vary.
The map has many details, and will take an entire game to discover all its nuances.

Great map, mainly a big race for control of the bridge. (Since it is the main way across the river.)

Its pretty much 100% balanced if your smart with the placing of the buildings.

Thanks Wraith!
Any comments... there are a few caveats, I'm sure. Only the mountain kingdom can rebuild the bridge unless it is completely distroyed, but that can be read into the storyine.
I hae never actually played this until such a point, as the battles usually get very massive with many siege engines, and the bridge becomes toasted no-mans-land before long.
The early stages of the game can go either way fast if the players aren't evenly matched, or equally familiar/ignorant with the map... but once each establishes tentative superiority over "their" side of the river, the detals in the map hopefully flesh out.
I basically put together all the elements I had ever wanted to experience in a Stronghold map.
My comliments go out to the creators of this game and to this group of strategemsters and designers with taste - all very inspiring.
Thanks for the review! Requests? I'll make changes. Anybody wanna play it? - I'll test me router.
