Newly discovered terrain abundant in fertile land and rich in ressources, has prompted other kingdoms to attempt to steal these lands from you. Allie yourself with your trustworthy friends, to destroy the common foe, or thak them all alone. Will you be able to scare away these dirty trepassers from your land?
This map plays perfect and doesnt have any major playability flaws.
Map is listed as unbalanced because its designed for team play. I played 4 comps v 1 human on the high ground, and getting resources were not a problem. Keeping them however was a different matter.
Dark Knight makes quality maps, period. Some are fives, this is a four.
Map Design: 3
I gave this a 3 because I had problems with the proximity of the enemy. Its tight quarters within the central part of the map where the iron and stone is. Also farmland is at a premium. Resources are always 'in check' by the enemy.
Dark Knight sometimes writes good stories and backgrounds. His read me file with the zip file is informative and gives a list of his other maps. Good idea!! If you included list of enemy AI that work well on the map I would give you +1 here. I like to see someone take their time writing up a background on a detailed map such as this. I think this has about a 3 out of 5 for the effort on the story.
All in all a good playing map from a quality cartographer.

Playability and Balance: 7/10
The map plays with no problems but I found the map was too small for the number of players. I was constantly harrassed for resources from the very beginning, which was a little tiresome. I played the map twice, once with an ally taking up the right hand side and the other time by myself at the top. Playing with an ally was better but I still found that everything was still too close. Resources however were well spread and just the right amount of farmland was available.
Creativity and Map Design: 8/10
The map design was very good, the snaking river looks great in the map and on the minimap. The small interlocking hills, trees and stone quarries also look really good and they blend in well into the countryside. Good work!
Could have done with a little more storyline, the site description was a bit thin. Maybe you could add some notes or go for a longer storyline?
Additional Comments: Another well crafted map, keep it coming.
