This map plays like some of my first maps. Its a huge sprawling castle (lots of recycled stone to sell) with no 'real' feel to it. At the beginning there are some straggling assasins that come up (invisible of course) and destroy your buildings outside. There are series of gates that cause your reinforcements and peasants to get jammed up (assassins again) until a huge repeating attack of computer invaders comes. I also had a repeating arriving merchant announcement that made the map viewer unusable.
There is no balance to this. I think its original idea was a siege, so resources building placement is haphazard and a non-issue because your are forced to build the armories (100 swords and armor is a win event requirement) inside the castle anyways. There is enough iron for about 5 iron mines right outside your front gatehouse. Another word on the gates on this map: not only do they cause your peasants to jam up, but the gates and drawbridges are hidden by the dubious amounts of stone wall. The designer used alot of stone to build this thing, and doesnt seem practical.
Im usually generous in creativity, but Im giving this a 2. This an example of the creative power here:
"The "Keep of Towers" is a large castle with no historical values.
Expect attacks and bandits from the north."
Map Design: 2
As stated before I expierenced some problems with this map. Its a good effort for a beginner. Looks like you used some strategies from the map making articles, including a outpost tower placement. There is a big ruined tower that serves no purpose but looks.
Just plain ole nothing going on here.
Not sure how many maps the author has submitted but this one is below average.
