Big Texas Tea Party

Big Texas Tea Party

This map is more than your average garden variety eco-vasion. Its a eco-vasion with a purpose! This map portrays the conflict in the middle east today. Be like Bush!

You are a privateer lord who has moved 'in-country' to make a quick buck (2005 gold) and get your share of the spoils (80 oil/pitch). Constant attacks from suicide mission forces deter you. You can only buy leather armor and crossbows and build expensive crossbowmen to protect your encampment. Some areas outside your base area are lion infested. Be prepared to have your lord maneuver in his manor house to get away from events. Get the OIL and get yer cash via taxing the poor working man (hunters). When the day is done, he who has the oil gets his legacy (GAME WINNER). Use the market to over-spend on your military. Protect the oil (pitch) rigs so that lovely 'texas tea' keeps a flowin'! Cut down as much forest as you can, while maximizing taxes to fund your war. If your popularity goes down too much, dont worry. Big payoffs and sweet food rationing can bring them around to win another election and keep yer 'texas tea' party on the road in the later years of the mission. Some local evil-doers decide to join up throughout the game, use these free troops to your advantage. Download this map and rate it, if you want. If you download it and then dont review it, then may cows rain down on you.

Pat Dark Knight Well, I can't really make a review, because its the first Invasion I try, so I don't know to what to base myself, but I've tried your map, and this is what I think, lollard:

Well, the first time around, I kinda forgot that you were bush, and just let him die... Then I realised that he had to survive, so I tried it again. ;)

I think that there shold be more pitch, I mean c'mon, its middle-east...
Maybe abit more troops attaking your. Four macemen avery few minutes were hard, but maybe use a strategy where, you wait a couple more minutes than usual, until bush and his guys settle down, make a few troops, and send a bit bigger army. Just a suggestion. Oh, and maybe a few slaves, u know... fire... boom... oil... lol

I lke it alot, and brings a big challenge to its players. It was very fun!

Sir Lurchalot Not the worst map I've ever played but far from best, too. But I'll at least give the mapmaker credit for a unique storyline. ;)

The design is very simple with almost no terrain features to speak of. The constant bandit attacks are a bit much. They really don't add much to the gameplay and are more of an annoyance than anything else.

It could have been more interesting if the mapmaker had employed triggered events rather than simple repetitions.

As it is now (hope it's improved) it's very easy to win if you use the right stragety. All I did was shut down everything except the four free gratis people that don't need to eat. ;) I assigned them to hunt until I had plenty of food which I sold and then bought enough weapons for 15 crossbowmen.

Then you station them near the signpost to cut down the bandits the moment they appear. And with a population of 24, I sent five to the oil rigs, five as woodcutters, and the rest as hunters. Set food at extra rations (+4) and completely ignored the bandit attacks, plagues, and food thefts and traveling fairs. Just let the map run by itself, no attention needed except of occasionally selling off the wood. The only other action needed to shorten playing time a bit was to sell off food immediately once the oil requirement was met.
