Difficulty: Normal
Winter is over. Spring is here, with summer nearby. The ice and the snow has smoothed out the center ring, which was only remotely acessible. iver have also cracked the cliffs, making its way to the center, while exposing important minerals.

All four castles do not communicate between them very often, and do not have many good relations in the past. They were all restraint to kill off the villager wondering too far from the other castles, but now that they all have acess to the center valley, they can finally reach each other - maybe to establish better realtions between them, or maybe to attack the others...

Good Gaming,

The map plays great and with no major game issues. The reason I didnt give this a five is: I had to start over a couple of times because it takes time to figure out how to play the resources on this map. Getting the farms running right without getting killed all the time takes trial and error!

Balance: 4
Good balance with resources close together and geographically isolated near the center at least in the beginning. The deduction here is because the other lords always seem to be building on your resources on this map. You can prevent this by enclosing your keep by filling in the hole in the crater with castle wall. I ended up with a multilayered bunker wall there with reinforcements. This is a nice and simple way to control your resources. Otherwise, a well done on balance.

Creativity: 5
Keeping with tradition of putting out only well thought-out maps, Pat gets a five here.

Map Design: 5
A Four player map that I would play again because its unique.

Story/Instructions: 5
Just enough story to get the 5. A story that you actually think of when your playing. I played against sheriff, frederick, and phillip on a free for all. I won.

Additional Comments:
The center of the map is the main battlefield and is uneven with streams, trees, and bushes. Nice effect with the hills giving firing positions and causing catapult fire to miss. On one side of my land I proudly built 6 round towers with ballista and shields. This was to blockade the other side. It worked great. None of my battles were a complete win by artillery. I had to go in and finish all of them off after the inital bombardment. In free for all, the computers fought each other but never really got anywhere because the map is nice and big. The map has some wide open spaces to maneuver around, except in the middle. Good map. Oh yeah, one move on this map: Build a little bunker near the opponents iron mines and set a fire ballista in there. Set it to concentrate fire in the center of the iron. As the enemy build mines there, they will catch fire and cause much economy disruption as they are continually destroyed.

emperor du sing This reminds me of a map that I am currently working on that has an 'X' pattern, but with all players starting near the corners of the map, 2 to each corner, the intent being 2v2v2v2. All iron and wood is in the center, with some quarry space also. There is a bit of space available near the starting positions. Players can go through only the center of the map. I plan to place lions in the center and to also work a bit more on making it seem a bit more interesting when two invading armies collide... plenty of oasis space, though too much and I am working on that now.

Seems like a good map from the minimap, will download soon as I get a chance from my home computer (I'm at the library now).

If you play with some AI's, it's annoying at the begginning because the grab all of yor grasslands, or part of them, the only way to prevent this is enclosing your keep from the beginning
Balance: 5
Very well balanced map, plenty of grass, stone and iron for the 4 players

Creativity: 5
Very creative map! I liked the rivers and the waterfalls

Map Design: 4
Well designed map, all the Ai's castles, except for the sherriff's castle jams up a bit if you put him in the lower part of the map

Story/Instructions: 4
WOW,what can I say... Great story, and this is a comment for all of your storys... There GREAT and very original

Additional Comments:
This map would be great in multiplayer because you have to protect your farmers from pesky archers of your enemy

Wow! Thanks all of you for the feedback and the reviews! I can't say how much this is appreciated. I know its been a while since I've made a map, but now since ive broken my hand, and can't play badminton anymore :(, I've had an old idea for a map that I want to bring to realty. Lord Micheal - Thanks for all the reviews, this applies to all that you have done.

And to all the others; There are so many of you that i cannot possibly thank you all personnaly, but my equal gratitude are sent to you all.

Good gaming, and I'll try to get more maps out!
