Game plays ok, with two gates that you need to protect. Two gates means trouble especially moving troops around and there are even two fire balistas that are hidden in/near the front gatehouse. The towers are built in the wall and if they are destroyed then there are big holes in the wall. Huge amounts of pitch pits surround the castle, which is a smallish sized castle ard easily defended. and you need to use the pitch pefectly to win this map. There are engineers, some with pitch pots, but they are hard to move around in the small castle and get shot by attacking horsearchers.
This map is too hard. The invading forces are too many, and the only way I can see to win this is to effectively use the oil and engineers to burn the attackers. You can build a trebuchet with the extra engineers and lob cows at the attackers (this also is useful to cut down the enemy artillery too). I took off points because its too difficult at the current setting. I will go in and lower the invading troop levels, some other time, and maybe play it and then re-rate it.
This is a creative castle and has 'realistic' looking landscape. I took off because its a straight forward seige/defend map with alot of fire. Im not used to playing with fire, since I play on gamespy where most people most games are NO FIRE.

The map design is good, with alot of protection with towers and wall functioning well together. The castle is small so you can move across it fast, but has a tendancy to catch fire alot killing all in the courtyards. Move your fire ballistas into the middle if you want them to add anything to this fight.
This is a good map with alot of action. Download and play it, and keep on keeping on.
