This map deserves a 3 because its not to scale. I have been to egypt and cairo on the giza plateau. There arent houses there at all, instead entire open spaces around the actual pyramids. The pyramids are "huge" as big as mountains. The ones on the map are just too small to represent the real ones. On the map there is a body of water which I'm assuming would be the Nile River. The Nile River flowed unchecked back in 1181, with no Aswan Dam to stop flooding. But, the water level would never reach as close as the map represents here. These are small matters when you are rating eyecandy maps, but its a "accurate" map so I took off for that. When I see Egypt maps on this board I usually dont correct them, but I thought I would on this one.

The actual design of the map features is great, everything looks good and well planned out. I liked the quarries and ship. I was going to give this a two, but then I looked at the Sphinx and thought of how much work it would take to make that. But all around good effort.

Infernal Angel in addition to lollard97367 comment id like to say that in many books historians and archeologist suggest that the stone bloks were raised with the help of the nile a some place was flooded and lifted the stones up also when a king died his body was carried up the nile to the pyramids and at the river banks were the long tunnels which led to the pyramid, which the author oof the map made,so the nile might have been very close to the pyramids after all they were made about 2500 bc,we can never be sure.
