Six Pinnacles Fortress is collectively comprised of a string of six natural rock spires that soar above the green steppe grasslands of the Kingdom of Irendi. Crowned atop each of these spires are the resources, farmland, buildings, and defenses that constitute the fortress. Each peak is linked to the whole by 'flying bridges' (reinforced stone walls with walkways that allow passage). Note: that these crenallated 'flying bridges' also offer some additional defense, allowing covered and elevated archer fire to rain down on any enemy attackers far below on the steppes. The remaining areas of the map are the nearby badlands (mottled desert region), the adjacent swamp (pitch resource), and the flooded ruins (opposite side of the river bridge).
The center pinnacle is the main agricultural site of the fortress. The stockpile is located here and there is enough good farmland to get approximately four wheat farms functioning. Farm choice and efficiency are not as important as a steady and reliable food source, however.
Access to the fortress is strictly controlled, either by the steep winding natural path ending in a gatehouse or by the parolled stone stairway. The stone stairway is collapsible and can be dismantled (delete it) to hinder attack. In the event of an overwhelming assault, each pinnacle can make a solitary "last stand". This creates a layered defense, forcing the attacking force to overcome several well-defended individual sections before reaching the vulnerable Keep itself.
Mastering the movement of defenders in the fortress is vital to winning. Don't be afraid to withdraw to the next pinnacle to prevent being overrun. Enemy horsearchers will spray arrows as they gallop around the fortress. Sell surplus agricultural products, but be careful - the market availability is fairly limited (representing the geographical isolation of the fortress, it's miles from any city or town).
Almost impregnable, Six Pinnacles Fortress has stood millennia and has survived numerous sieges. Presently, it is one of only a handful of strongholds still loyal to the King. At the onset of the current Civil War, the rebel army bypassed it. Later, the rebel leader Torak sent his army back to Six Pinnacles to take it by force. Unbeknownst to Torak, the King (Player 1) escaped the fall of the capital city and fled to Six Pinnacles in disguise. The rebels will attack in increasingly tougher waves. Protect the king for the glory of Irendi!
The King came here with a second agenda: to procure 30 crossbows. He believes that 30 crossbow men (along with other reserve forces) is the right number to take back the capital. With the presence of the rebel army outside, failure means death. Please enjoy and rate accordingly.
