This is my first SiegeThat! map published on the net, but before it stands a long line of unpublished ones. This one is different in that I couldn't beat it. I beat all the other posted SiegeThat! maps with no problems (200 pikemen suffice for most of them, for the thougher ones, 3 trebuchets do the job). Of course I'm not talking about "SiegeThat!" maps with edited terrain and/or resources. Those show nothing about skill, just place 300 crossbowmen and a few ballistas behind a large moat and pitchditches and you got an unbeatable castle...
So, if you beat this, please write me how you did it. I continue my quest to make a map that can truly be tagged as "Impossible".
PLAYABILITY: Same ole, same ole. I had stones left over on my trebs - I was just tossing them around trying to make patterns in the walls = )
BALANCE: The vast majority of Siege That! maps aren't balanced because they are don't address all forms of attack.
This is no exception.
CREATIVITY: The tower positions by the Keep were somewhat innovative, so above average marks for that.
MAP DESIGN: Same as above.
STORY/INSTRUCTIONS: In lieu of telling us how good you did against your own castle, make up a story and give us a reason to assault it!
There is no such as an invincible Siege That! Castle! (Perhaps the update will change that?)
PS: Oolerin - if you have played all the Siege That! maps here, why don't you review some of them and help the other designers improve their next eforts? Everyone loves reviews! Keep in mind - there IS no unbeatable Siege That! map. You pretty much have to rate on how many tries it took and how many troops you lost sieging them, because, you WILL win against ALL of them =)
