You are the chief advisor to the commander of a massive army currently laying seige to the behemoth city of Jamailia. So far, all forward attempts at taking the city have been utterly futile. Realising that the behemoth is too great and powerful to be taken by conventional seige methods, you advise your commander to send in a small army of highly trained soldiers in several ships in the dead of the night to sneak into the harbour. These forces will then break through the enemy's rear defenses at the crack of dawn, and storm the keep to kill the enemy lord, thus forcing Jamailia to surrender and breaking the deadlock. Unfortunatley most of the other advisors and captains have been badly wounded or killed in action, making you the best choice to lead the small army into the fortress and to victory. The pressure is enormous. You have studied maps of the city fervently, but you do not know much of the inner defenses and workings of the enemy behemoth. You must rely on your quick action and keen strategic and tactical eye to carry out this mission. Your life, and the lives of thousands of soldiers depend on the outcome. Good luck!
This map is designed to be very tough, and you may need to try it several times before you can achieve victory. I hope you enjoy it! :)
Also could someone please rate this map for me? I spent a long time on it and I would like some feedback on it :) This is my fourth map.. but none of my other maps have been rated, so I would really appreciate some feedback on it. Thankyou :)
I played this map a couple of times. It has a simple set of goal(s): Kill enemy lord, thats it. That sound easy? Well its not. The city/castle is well defended and tower to tower fighting is the only way to move up. You start under enemy archer fire (flaming arrows too) and then have to move up off the docks. If you move your assassins up to take care of the nearby towers, then you dont end up dead on the docks (failed attempt #1). I took over a dockside nieghborhood of the city as my base of operations. Then I moved in all my troops and set them up defensively. Then my shock troops (assassins and some wounded swordsmen) moved up. The castle is hard to move around in, because of the street access points. You can easily take a wrong turn and end up a walking pin-cushion here. Achieving victory will be a future event.
Because there is no economic side of this map, there is just the level of fighting to rate on balance. Because I couldnt achieve victory I had to dock it points. Plus the towers are filled with braziers and merc archers (tougher than normal archers or slingers).
100 percent genius on creativity. The map is a 5 eyecandy map IMHO. Getting these big lowered wall castles to look right takes a massive amount of effort. EXCELLENT.

The map gets a 5 on the design plan because of the detail and care required to make it and the end result is remarkable. I estimate the number of starting computer houses at about 400. They are in well designed 'blocks' in the city. Looks good and you dont have the lag that you would with different kinds of buildings. Good work.
Nice short story lead in. The map is fun to play and you describe it enough to get a 4.
This map is probably the best whole screen castle design I have seen on here. I made one in Execution Day and no one wrote in about it, but they are difficult and the author should get credit for his hard work. GOOD JOB!

It was fun to play but the troops are to close at the begining.
It was balanced.
I deleted some bits and saw how much layers you did and it was a big map.
