This level is a sloppy copy of what is to come. I wanted to see how you guys feel about this one before I go into detail. The area around the waterfall is a taste of the eyecandy I plan to put into this map. But this map isn't just for looking at, I want it to be a fun challange as well. Please give your opinions.
THis is the second version. I made the picth and some of th estone and iron resources fit into the map better. ALso if someone could come up with a better name that would be nice. I watched the movie just before making the map and my mind was blank.
Playability: 4
Aye a very nice map. First let's talk about the playability. I chose my usual set-up; The Rat and The Pig versus me and The Sherrif of Nottingham. The Rat did surprisingly well with the terrain, he even added a tower! Although, well, he's the Rat. The Pig did well also, he and the Sherrif were right across from each other, so they were at a stalemate with their Crossbowmen until I came and cleaned that mess up. The river is small, perfect for Horse Archers to patrol on the other side whilst firing and killing the cows. I marked you down because on any other setup besides 7 vs 1, there was no safe farmland.
Balance: 3
7 vs 1 isn't exactly balanced, and the enemy coming from different sides doesn't help either. The Swordsman you provided just gaurded my Quarry as it was under attack quite often. The AI built perfectly with no problems caused by the terrain, so it was pretty fair until my Monks came and tore down my enemies.
Creativity: 4
Not many people would do a 7 vs 1 map, especcialy when the player has so many other disadvantages. The terrain was nice, although some things looked WAY out of place. More on that later.
Map Design: 3
The river added a nice strategy of staying alive while getting across, and my Horse Archers had a feild day. But all of the pitch looked way off, and that little raised mound of stone and iron beffuzzled me.
Story/Instructions: 3
Not really a story but the instructions hit it right on the nail.
Additional Comments: A good first attempt, this is one of my favorite skirmish maps now! Definitly reccomended, keep on the good work!
