Lord Pushkin's castle was a magnificent caste. It was constructed on a hill which had a small island surrounded by a lake. The castle has held of many attacks and threats. I recommend you play as the attacking side as the defending side is pretty easy.
Quite funny to play. Some parts of the map was boring though, for example, you had to spend time on moving you troops around the castle (or at the bottom of the map) to avoid getting massacred even before the siege had begun. And then there really only was one way to attack.
Way too easy as defender, as the author mentioned, and attacker is way too hard. Try to downsize the amount of enemy crossbowmen a lot. The ballistae also made it a hard time. All my troops got massacred even before I breached the inner gate.
Nice with the lake inside the castle.

This was really hard to judge, parts of the map looked very good (the slopes outside the castle, and the keep) while the most looked rather boring. And one thing doesn't make sence: the castle is described as a great castle, and yet the architect seems to have made the huge mistake of not letting the towers point out from the walls, thus allowing the attacker to easily breach the walls (although, that's not the case in-game), such stupidities in architecture were rare...
Short, and not very informative.
This map has got a lot of potential, if all the map looked as parts of the castle do, map design would be a 4 (I personally think that the towers should point out from the walls, since it's supposed to be a great castle). If the amount of defenders was dramatically decreased, this would make a lot better map.

The central island is unaccessible because of a elevation difference I think. This means you cant move reinforcements from there. It sadly means also the computer wont attack on defend because the access to the keep is blocked. It might be the interior gatehouse base that is blocking the path, but it looks like its the stairs and elevation on the inner side of the gatehouse. When you delete the gatehouse there is access. This is a basic flaw and needs to be fixed. All maps should be playtested to work flawlessly before posting, if possible. Errors like this really lower the rating.
Siege maps need to be thoroughly balanced before finally posting them. This means tweaking the attackers and defenders strengths in order to make a challenge. Normally this happens with thorough testing. This castle is just limited access, with towers of crossbowmen and oil. The attackers are cut down before reaching the castle, spearmen arent good at taking arrows.
Excellent siege map idea. I like the island 'inside' the castle. Making good maps takes practice and study of designing tips. Check out stronghold knights for other resources to use in making your next map.

Had to deduct because of the access error. The landscape looks great on this however. And the castle is one big eyecandy. Check this out, just for its beauty in design.
The bare minimum. I would like to hear a little more about the greatness of this castle before I play it. Word on the street is that you need to have 500+ words (around two full normal pieces of paper of writing) of story/instructions to qualify for a 5.
Giving this an official Lollard "Thumbs Up". This "Thumbs Up" is contingent on the gatehouse fix. Look for my newest creation, "Cede of the Mad Baron VonHendricks" coming soon.
