I liked this map for its straightforward design. Attacks come in 3 different invasions from one signpost and attack your already built self supporting wood base. If you want to remodel the place once you move in, its going to be all wooden fortifcations (I built one stone tower). You have jobs and housing for 70+, but population starts at 0. It takes a while for the farms to get worked and to get the castle running by itself so you can pay attention to the invasions. Despite the almost non existent background information, the churches didnt give me any bonus to popularity.
The attacks are too weak on normal. Since this is a map where you have to wait through all the invasions to win, I just made troops when possible. You can buy bows, spears, maces, and leather. This makes it pretty easy to get a pretty tough army together in a short time. Maybe less starting gold or limited availablity.
I like the wooden structures and the archery range. Your castle isnt enclosed, but its not intended to be. I did build a quick wooden third wall around the keep with a wood gate. This was not needed. I gave you a five here even though you didnt include a story. I normally require a story and background to get that high of a score. But you got me with the functional archery range and rabbits.
Map Design: 5
I like the design of this fluid structure. The outer towers and wooden wall bunkers are really death traps. Pull your troops close so you can really lay down archery fire while they come through the swamps. There is also patrolling pikemen and a ghost. Its a low five.
This is almost a 2. And I am being generous because its near Christmas. I know other raters would give you lower.
"Thumbs Up" for the quality scenery and look of this castle and eyecandy that gets your attention. Tip: Try it on hard or very hard.

Fun to play. I always like to massacre an helpless enemy. However, playability would be better if there was more of a challenge.
Too easy. None of the invasions even threateend me, and only the final one managed to even break through my gatehouse.
The map doesn't feature anything really new, but uses a few inventive eye-candys (like palistone walls, wooden walkways etc).
Map Design: 3
Pretty good. As I mainly focus on landscapes, I didn't really care for all the eye-candy. Most of the map was flat and grassy...so a 2 for that, but a few good-looking parts of the map brought this up to a 3. The great hill to the SW (where the river flows up) looked great, although it had a somewhat odd shape. I'm a great fan on dirt mixed with stones.
A generous 3. Pretty basic storyline, and way too short to get really interesting.
An overall good map. Keep the landscape at the same level as the SW hill, and your maps will look great.
