If you play Stronghold 1 multiplayer on gamespy, you probably have played on the map: 8 Player-No Walls. 8 Player-No Walls is the default map for multiplayer, and the most commonly played map in stronghold 1 games on the gamespy server. The map is frustrating hard to play, with raised iron platforms that need to be protected. Also most of the time you play multiplayer with low tech level, so weapons arent available at the market. So you have to use the given iron and it turns out to be a nightmare of a logistical problem. I have beat people on 8 Player-No Walls, and I have also been very quickly defeated.
This map is designed for human multiplayer play only. It has a central area with iron, that has a tower occupied by some computer controlled chaps. These tower dwellers are in no mood for visitors and will shoot any troops coming up the mountain to mine on sight. I wanted this map to require a "group" effort to team up against this occuping tower, and clear the mountain top. Once the mountain tops is cleared, then mining can commence and normal 1 v 1 v 1 v 1 or 2 v 2 battle can take place.
This is just a side project, as I have been playing alot of multiplayer games lately. I wanted a map that could be used instead of the 8 Player-No Walls map that everyone can download from this site. I would like to test this map online with some others. Gamespy nic: lollard97367
I checked your map in the editor, and I couldnt find any location to place even single iron mine or stone quarry. I dont think you have done that in purporse, because that doesnt fit in your story, and there arent any resources actually.
Apart from that the map looks good. I havent played it, but I hope I will (if you choose to repair these small disfunctionalities). Just add more (useable) iron and stone boulders.

I couldnt test the map completely before posting it. I need 3 other players to do it.
