Summer of 1100 A.D....
With the end of The First Crusade, several Frankish States have been established in the Holy Land: The County of Edessa, The Principalty of Antioch, The Kingdom of Jerusalem, among other smaller states.
Your uncle Bohemond, has died and you've claimed the control of Antioch and its lands, thus making you one of the wealthiest men in The Levant.
But there is no time for celebrations! The Sultan of Allepo, has made a pact with the Caliph of Bagdahd, and a whole Arabian army is marching to Jerusalem.
King Baldwin I of Jerusalem, has gathered an army of local Christians and the remaining Crusading Knights and Feudal Men-at-Arms from every corner of the Latin States in order to meet the Infidel in battle.
Meanwhile, and knowing the movement of the Saracens, the King itself has summoned you to his presence, and assigned you to move from Antioch and take Allepo with your army, thus avoiding the Saracens. It is the hope of all Christendom, that if this counter-measure works, the safe of Jerusalem will be assured, forcing the Saracens to ask for terms.
Since The Sultan of Allepo has moved away with his army, it is a golden oportunity to move in and secure the city.
Expect a lot of militia army (archers, slingers, slaves and fire-throwers) and few professional soldiers (chain-mailed swordsmen).
Lead the Sicilian Normans to victory, and may God be with you!

There are some problems that I can't solve...
1 - When playing, there are less troops to the player, then in the map editor.
2 - Don't know how to give gold to the attacker.
3 - Don't know how to establish the winning condition when you've killed the enemy lord (in this case not the Sultan of Allepo, but its Captain of The Guard).
Sorry for this kind of troubles... If you want, feel fre to modify the map as you like it.
If anyone could tell me how to fix this problems, i would appreciate a lot.
Thanks for your understanding ;) |

There are some problems that I can't solve...
1 - When playing, there are less troops to the player, then in the map editor.
That is because of the difficulty setting. THe Default is normal, and the number of soldiers that you give in the map editor is based on easy difficulty.
2 - Don't know how to give gold to the attacker.
Don't use the starting goods section. There is another section in the scenario editor that is sometimes hidden. It allows you to pick a pre-determined tax rate, ration rate, and gold. Another way is to just build churches or cathedrals and delete them. Everytinme you delete something, you get back half of what you put in, so the church costs 500 gold, then you get 250 gold back to the player. To reduce it in the map, place some soldiers and disband them. Train monks at the cathedral to reduce the amount by 10 gold each. then, send them off to the enemy to finish off in another part of the map.
3 - Don't know how to establish the winning condition when you've killed the enemy lord (in this case not the Sultan of Allepo, but its Captain of The Guard).
It's in the events section. Put the event condition to "Enemy lord Killed" and then put the event to win.
I'ts as easy as that. I understand. Once my first map, the mangonels didn't have engineers. EEEKKK.
SO, here are the answers. |
