Hi all!

This is my first map submitted to SHH.
It was originally submitted to SHK where it recieved very good ratings and comments.

The map is based on the magnificent siege of the white city in the Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

The goal is to not loose a specific number of units and hold of the attackers until a specific date to win.

The map features a new way of approaching a SHC invasion by using pre-placed invading troops. This intesifies the invasions and gives the maker a bit more control over what happens during the course of the game.

The Orc hordes attack very Aggressively. Usually sending in at least 100-150 troops per wave.

This map doesn't have the charge of the Rohirrim or the Dead Army as they were very hard to implement without hitting the sprite limit.

I tried to get the Castle design as accurate as possible with the rings of the city, the trebuchets on the walls and also the paved roads in the last level with the stairs leading up to the great hall of the steward.

The map plays reasonably well, but maybe just a little too hard.

There isn't much balance here as the enemy totally overwhelms you.

A good map indeed although just a little too hard.
philip5000 i finished it. i pulled all my troops to the cortyard about 100 archers' 20 crossbowman'5 pikemen and 25 swordsmen and put them on the stairs swordsmen in front pikes behind then all archers and crossbowman exept 30 archers and 8 crossbowmen who went in the round towers.

it is a challenge but a very good map because it builds defensive strategy well done.

There's nothing wrong with playability

There are enough orcs, but the player doesn't have enough soldiers. The game was too easy. All I had to do was pull back every man I had to the keep.

i love this map. too bad theres no charge of the Rohirrim..:( or Gandalf kicking denethors butt lol o well, i still love the map. haha GOOD JOB MAN!..

btw im working on one of my first maps. The Battle of Helms Deep... I know people have attempted to make it....but i think mines kinda better....i dunno its up to the ppl to rate it..there are 2 outlying towns. foremarch and Snowborne. its up to you to survive the onslaught... lol hope to release it soon. u should check it out when i do

You couldn't really do much but move archers

This was far too easy in all aspects - people were saying it's hard, but the way to do it is retreat all archers into the central spine and put all infantry guarding them and wait for victory!

Creativity: 3.5
The idea of minas tirith is not very original

Perfect. Everything about this is exactly as it is in the movie.

From begining t oend this map is fast packed and intence. Your first wall is immeadlty breached, and you must retreat you soldgers back at least to the second wall. Then come the rams. There was not a momment that i was thinking "o poop" when I played this map

Some people think this map is impossible, but following you tips, it is possible to run the timer and win the map. But, I changed the map so there is no timer limit and it is now impossible, but more fun. (sorry, I hope you dont mind)

To me, creativity is not how the creative the story is (LOTR map!!! Down to three points!!!) but how well the story is repressinted in the map, and any creative use of editing tools. Good job here

A briliant represantation of the white city and pelonor fields. The citadel is nicely done, as are the roads in Penalor. Everything, from the trebushes on walls, to the Citadel gaurds, is accurate

Story/Instructions: 4
A nice represantation of the Minas Tirith Story.

It's about time someone writes a decent review for this map. Keep em' commin'. (thhough it looks unlikely, you only have one map)
