oasis

Author File Description

File Details
Map Size: 300x300 (Medium)
Difficulty: Normal
You have settled in an oasis hidden within a barren rocky
wasteland. Resources are somewhat limited so plan well.
After your hideaway is discovered it is only a matter of
time before you face ever increasing forces intent on
wrestling your oasis from you.
This invasion is my first submission. I hope you enjoy it.
Please email comments and suggestions so I can improve this

This was an interesting map, and I believe this author shall produce some good works in his time here.

Playability: 4
It was a fun map to play, I felt very secure and liked the interesting oasis that my castle was in.

Balance: 2
The oasis was not open enough. I found this way to easy, I beat in on normal losing only dogs and a cow. However, I consider myself a good defender, and used an unconventional strategy.

Creativity: 4
This was another unique map shape. It did not go WAY off the norm, so its only a four.

Map Design: 3
Average design. The looked like they had just been placed by clicking with the hill button, and the terrain lacked visual appeal.

Story/Instructions: 2
It had some context, but not much of a story. There was also an inconsistency between the Wolf talking but the Rat attacking.

My suggestions:
Make more than one entrance to the plateau. It was to easy to defend. Also make them wider.

Change either the attacker to the Wolf or the taunter to the Rat.

Make the hills roll onto each other. Look at high rated maps as an example. A river with a waterfall would also help.

A great fun map! :) Quite easy but still very enjoyable to build your settlement and a strong fort.
