Bran Castle, dating from the 14th century, sits high in the Carpathian Mountains in Romania’s central region of Transylvania. This is an invasion map with a lot of surprises. You will bw invaded by Wolf,Pig, Rat and Snake with their full army.Your castle will visited by some ..., bandits, outlaws, etc.
As with most maps I play it was...enjoyable. Not much to say on it except that the amount of troops was ABSURD and there were waaay too many enemy archers.
This map would be extremely difficult except for one little thing you forgot. You can build moats on any min height. I built a moat about the width of an apple farm before the rats forces hit.
It's an historical map so it's hard to decide. Apart from the fact the castle looked completely different it wasn't horribly creative.
Map Design: 2
A) The castle was, like Jasper pointed out, on a HILL. It was also shaped completely different so if you're gonna say it's Bran castle at least make it look like it.
B) The map design overall was of poor quality. I could go on for hours about it but I'm in a hurry.
C) There were bumps in the river. Of all things in mapmaking I hate that most. Please, level it. There was a hill in the river with water going both ways. THAT DOESN'T WORK!
There really wasn't any. You really shouldn't get into the details on Vlad. *shivers* But you could provide a link to the castle of the week of Bran castle that is toned down but still disturbing. And could you explain why each of the AI are attacking you in sequence? Any historical names?
Additional Comments: I'm only reviewing because it doesn't deserve a 5. And Tino? Why is it that the...um..."new designers" always rate your maps? And why always 5? Just wondering...your Crusader's last siege had like 10 people give it 5...no offence to anyone. Oh yeah, the scripting was a little off and concentrated.
