In 1229,after the conquest of Jerusalem for the second and for the last time, the crusaders build in just one year, an mighty, unconquered and powerful stronghold on Ciprus island . This stronghold was called Limassol, and became a Heaven for crusaders, mercenaries and outlaws who came here, before to go in Jerusalem, before they were hired, or before they joined as new recrutes in crusaders armies.This is where our story begin.

1230 AD The Arabs begin to rise armies the conter attack. They begin to conquer the crusaders cities. After they conquered entire Crusaders Kingdom, they embarked in ships and set sail to Cyprus for conquer the last crusaders stronghold from Middle East , the Limassol Stronghold . They estabished a beach head on coast of Cyprus, where they begun to lay siege at the Limassol Stronghold. You send a letter to the Pope and to the Emperor of Constantinopole to send to you reinforcements and suplies, to hold out to the siege and to counter attack the Arabs invaders.
A ship with reinforcements from Constantinopole is on this way , but they are engaged in a sea battle near the seashore of Cyprus with one of Arabs warship.The Pope has send to you a letter, telling you that ships with reinforcemnts and supplies from Rome, will come monthly, but the fate of Limmasol Stronghold is know, the stronghold is doomed to destruction ! Your scouts and spies tell you that the arabs will come in three waves of invasion ,first will be less powerful but the two remained will be devastating.Take all the measures possibles to conter attack the first wave of invasion and prepare for the last two, make troops as soon as you can, to defend the key parts of your stronghold .Another thing , your healer discovered sings that tells you that a plage is inevitable and your woodcutters tells you that the trees are "strange", so your supplie are limited ! The siege begun!!! what you can do to stop this? THINK YOUR STRATEGY CAREFUL
!!! THIS IN NOT A HISTORICAL STORY !!!

Playability: 4.5
I liked this map alot because of the long term battling and defending. You need to make a killing zone really quick because there are many invaders! Keeping one tower manned and everyone in the stronghold works if you dont mind very close calls. You can easily win the early ship battle by moving all your men to the fight and then shooting across the water at the enemy ship. Then you can destroy a tower and then use stairs to get out of your ship and get those important missle troops over before all the invasions hit.
Balance: 4
Ridiculous amount of invaders but still I made it all the way to the end and WON. I used a fire that started in my castle and just kept it going through out the whole war. Enemy would try to make it through and soon I had to move all my troops to the clearing by the keep to fight them all off. Down to the last monks and knights I finally beat it. The reinforcement archers that come during the thing are the game winner. Move those extra archers as carefully as possible. The new archers start at the signpost which is usually clogged with all the enemy soldiers massed so they get killed alot.
Creativity: 4
Its original enough to get a 4 which is excellent according to the guidelines. The ships are cool and put up a good fight. Lots of great eye candy on the map.
Map Design: 4
No real glitches or flaws, except for the reinforcements starting inside the enemy army. I never got a chance to really build anything, but being able to fall back to the walled "good things" area really came in handy at the end. The points of attack and timing are great too.
Story/Instructions: 4
Good write up with enough thought put in to get a low four. More creative writing will get a 5 from me next time! Story and characters with pictures and maps.
Additional Comments:
"Thumbs Up" for this long and very hard and constantly defending fight. I feel ambushing the signpost is cheating so I dont do that. Worth the download just for the ship design, plus the fights (you wont run out of combats)[Edited on 04/06/06 @ 05:26 AM]

Playability: 3.5
The map was a good defensive seige. You have to be prepared for alls kinds of attack at any time so it is not boring. I never really built anything the whole time though. Most of the reinforcements never make it because of the troops on the signpost, next time playtest the map more to see when to send them.
Balance: 4
A tough map that requires a careful defense plan and a good use of pitch. You start of with a lot of troops but they quickly ran out.
Creativity: 5
The best part of the map was this. The boats are really nicely done. The map is covered in eye candy like gardens and aquaducts.
Map Design: 4
A good map design that has no promblems. All the terrain is mixed well and there are a variety of bushes, trees,etc.
Story/Instructions: 4
A good story that goes right with the map. I like the way you tied in historical facts.
Additional Comments:
A great map that I reccomend to anyone who likes defending or eyecandy.
