The year 334 B.C. Alexander the Great's campaign of world conquest has been momentarily halted by the Persians at the river Granicus in western Turkey. The odds are slightly in the Persian's favor. Their heavy cavalry and Greek hoplite mercenaries outnumber the Macedonians. But Alexander has a plan. He will use his own cavalry to draw away the Persian cavalry, and then strike and surround the Greeks on foot. A gamble, yes, but if it pays off, his conquest continues. If it fails...........
So I was bored and decided to do a few historical maps. Let me know what you think. Please rate or comment on, good or bad, I want to know. (History of the battle in wordpad file.)
*updated* This map has added features, which you will find out for yourself. In the first map, there weren't objectives or instructions.
Objectives:
-Destroy the Persian and Greek armies.
-Kill Persian commander.
*IMPORTANT*: The starting date is 334, so you must go into the map editor and set the date to 334 before you play for it to work right, otherwise it will be the default 1066 and not work.
