Playability: 3
The map was quite funny to play, however, there were some mayor issues with the AI. The AI spent A LOT of time just destroying the outer walls, allowing my archers to shoot at them unhindered.
The AI mostly walked around the castle, destroying walls every here and there. Making more walls "indestructable" would be good.
The catapult attack right in the opening is good, but I beleive this could have been taken even further, 3 catapults simply ain't enought to do any real harm.

Balance: 4
Quite nice, except way too easy. I beat the map my second attempt at Hard, only suffering 29% troop-losses.
On Very Hard however, the map played off real nicely.
Troop-movement was always requiered, which was nice. As the castle is concentric, the keep acts as the main fighting station (especially in this map, as this is where the better part of your ranged units are stationed), and you have to move your troops around the keep to keep the situation under control.
Nonetheless, as the enemy mostly attacked my outer walls, I never felt really threatened.

Creativity: 4
It's always nice to see a good historical castle. Alnwick castle is a really great castle and I like your replica of it.
A lot of time must have been spent creating those lowered walls, and overall, the castle is quite a piece of engineering. Good work!

The map looked rather good, though the castle was full with constructional errors.
The keep is situated atop a "terrace", created with wall placed on min-height. Normally, wall on min height is not climbable from mid-plain, but as the ground right next to the terrace is slightly raised, the enemy can actually just attack the keep from the rear!
This came as quite a surprise to me, and I lost my first attempt at Hard thanks to that. After that, I went into the editor and removed the problem myself. Also, the enemy spends waaay too much time destroying the outer walls, which leads to many of them being killed unneccessarily.
The look of the castle is just great, possibly a 5.
The landscape looks real nice on the minimap, but in-game, you can see that the map is very undetailed. A lot more detail would be nice. However, I liked how you have used trees to make the map look alive.
I'm truly passionate about hills, so I was dissapointed to see that the hills in this map had mainly been created using the hill-tool, and very little time had been spent on equalizing. For your next map, try to create unregular "blocks" of mid or high-plain and then equalize them into smooth hills.
Also, the ditches protecting the castle could have been better. Again, try to spend more time with the equalizing-tool.
The waterfall looked highly unrealistic, although I haven't been to Alnwick, so perhaps it looks like that in reality. The marshlands just south of it were really nice, though.
And finally, just one question: Why are there random wooden walls in the middle of the forest?

Story/Instructions: 3
The story was rather short, and didn't contain too many historical facts. I'd put up a full Word-document containing facts about the castle.
There were no instructions at all, which led to some confusion. From the short storyline, I assumed I was supposed to play the map as the defender, so that's what I did.
There were no grammatical errors though (at least not as far as I know).

Additional Comments:
An overall rather good map, presenting a nice replica of an historical castle.
The review might seem a bit negative, but remember the score states that this map is above the average.
The map is full with good intentions, and with a little practise, you could create some REALLY nice maps.

Well the wooden walls are to add the effect of a abandoned motte and bailey fortification, I will update this one and make most of the walls indestructable and add more catapults, I will change the layout of the keep also, thanks for the review!
