Part 3 of 3:
A storm is brewing between clans, from the valleys up to the hills. Different terrains have different advantages, as your scouts have reported. Chose and found your castle quickly and precisely in order to become the conqueror of these lands. You might need to allie yourself, but can you make it alone? Everything is on the line, and the futur - your futur - depends on your choices. Will you make it out alive?
This map can be played in many different ways:
- 2 vs 2 vs 2
- 2 (center keeps) vs all
- free-for-all*
It has also two different difficulties, depending on where you decide to play: medium for players on the higher land, and hard for the two players that are in the 'valley', since they can be attacked on two sides
*I would suggest that you team up the two players at the center together, since they are closer together, which would really be hell if they were against each other
This map is not intended to be used with all the AIs. It is designed for multiplayer (human vs. human), although SOME AIs will work with this map.
This map has taken me roughly 8 hours to make, and I find that it is one of my best maps; incorporating many different elements to make the most natural-looking map. It may not be the best, but it is what I have dreamed of doing for so long. This map has opened me into a new type of skirmish map. I hope that you all enjoy this map as much as me. I hope you agree with me that this map is a good map to end a 3-part skirmish crusade.
Part 1:Desert Shield
Part 2:Desert Siege
Part 3:Desert Storm
Good Gaming,

Fun to play. You see.... i love it. I prefer alone against arabic enemy!!
Balance: 5
You balance it. One is close but less, one is far but many. It's realistic. But out of topic. I'll talk about it in map design
Creativity: 5
Nice valley.... nice story and nice design...
Map Design: 5
the design is good. nice valley i like it. And it's realistic. The goods location.... not too same.. that what i like
Story/Instructions: 4
good story but you need to add some change. Like the enemy bla bla bla. Because it's not too realistic :p try to explain why the enemy wanted you to die... but nice description
Additional Comments:
Well nice map. I've retract many of my review. So see some... ^^

Played with emir, nizar, and calif. All against all. Pretty good match up with me fighting the emir the whole time just to keep him off the iron.
Balance: 5
I like the balance and spacing between resources. Its looks like alot, but because you have to defend the areas its not.
Creativity: 5
Good map that flows like some kind of running battle because of the high ground and the way the comps attack. Good.
Map Design: 5
No lock ups, mess ups, foul ups, or plain ole screw ups either on this map! The desert storm is a good title. The trees were well done.
Story/Instructions: 4
Not enough for a 5
Additional Comments:
Thumbs Up from me and may all your maps be good ones (4.4 and ups!)

After playing this map about 5 times on gamespy, I have heard mixed reviews on it when I ask people what they think. Most clanners say it sucks because they play a game where you try to build as many full granaries and max out the weapons building. That is not how I play! I like a adventure. Good map. |

Yea thanks Lollard for the info. Its been a while since I've been on GSA for a while (my guess where u played this map), but its always been a battle between clanners and gammers:
-low ressources and lots of space -> for big expansions, and granaries
- or real maps
I personnaly, prefer to have maps played where the map maker took hours to make, to have its share of respect, play-wise, and detail-wise. Its a shame that people rather go for maps where its just 'easier' to play cuz of more open places and stuff like that, as opposed to more realistic - looking maps, where its only then where you can see who's the best; where real medival battles fought in a flat terrain with spots of grass? No! hills, rivers and animals!!
thanks again for the info Lollard
