This latest change was made after some issues were noticed in the ladder games. The bridge in the center of the map is now not owned by either player. So no benefit will be had by any one side over the other. I hope this helps you all out. Thanks to the original comments by Wraith and our communications, I have modified this map to provide for a much more even play. Improvements include, flat lands closer to the castle, Fjord access from both castles to the grassy island. Removal of towers that will cause trapped armies. I hope you all enjoy the newer map. And thanks Wraith.
This map may be played out in many ways. Start off with nothing and build up your economies and invade, or plan a large assault from the beginning.
Great map! Its very well put together, and looks to be a great defensive map.
Playablity:You lost some points here for a few small things:I hate maps that aren't on the valley floor. You cant build apple farms, unless they are REALLY far from your stockpile, same with wheat, so no bakaries...(-1 point)
There are 4 towers, by the bridge, which are below ground, If they are destroyed, then the units inside are trapped... no good. (-1 point)
Balance: There is equal access to the other player, no short falls there, but the castles are not build "exactly" the same, which means that there is a chance that the guest has slightly less room to build. *I liked being host better*
Also, the front of the guest is unbuildable, making it an even smaller castle... (-2)
Creativity: WOW. The castles might not be balenced, but they sure are pretty. A beautiful bridge and everything. Lots of nice tactics to use, and a competitive island up for grabs. the landscape is done well, and I want to give this a six.
Nothing more needs to be said here. Same as above.
Story: An actual plot (+2) but the map is contradictory. Sorry. Had a hard time making anything grow there, thats not to fertile, unless they grew cows. lol (-1)
I REALLY recommend this map. I did like it, and its has GREAT ecconomic challenges. Keep them coming!
