Rome the freebuild

Author File Description
Dougleass
File Details
Map Size: 400x400 (Large)
Minimap:
Build and manage ancient Rome. Are you a cruel emperor that demands gold, or do you give your people wealth and rest in the gardens? The choice is up to you. Have fun!

Here's the Rome map in a freebuild version. Asked by many... I even got an email...
I've had an old version of Rome. It's actually a version I saved before deleting Jasper Tudor's fields, in case it would look bad, or something else happened. I removed them because they were not functioning, and the map needed more food. Sorry Jasper, I didn't like it, but it had to be done. But now they actually can see them.
Not surprisingly you will notice buildings and such are different in some places which i've updated since I removed the fields.
Maybe the biggest change is that there are actually audiences in the arenas and theatres. WD made me remove them. They only created problems anyways. Also, you will meet more challenge in the Colloseum this time.

As always I hope you enjoy this. If you want more information check out the invasion version of Rome.

Though, according to the review guidelines you're supposed to explain why you scored as you did. Could you edit your review?

Sparrow Yes, I'll give you a few days to bring your review into compliance with the guidelines, King Iman (link in the upper left). After that I'll have to retract the score.
Skullus Playability: 5
Much to explore making it amazing

Balance: 5
Perfect balance, especially the Round Colloseum

Creativity: 5
My, My, My very creative.

Map Design: 5
Pretty much spectacular

Story/Instructions: 5
Well there wasn't much story in this, but I'll give it a 5 because the map tells a few small stories itself

Additional Comments:
A True Masterpeice of a map, I hope that I will one day make a map a great as this.

It'd be a big project mind you,
How long did it take you to do this one?

I do love the Colloseum by the way, it's amazing how you managed to do a round structure.
