Ok then, time for another DS_M map! *cheers*
This is a little harder than my other maps, it has some great treats for you, but beware, some taste bitter ;).
On to the next part, a summary of the story, wich is very large this time, 2088 words! But it is worth the read.
You and the Wolf have been fighting for a long time, then he asks you to come to his castle and negotiate peace as the war is only using up valuable recources and men. Something goes wrong when you leave to ride home again, the steel crossbars that are inbedded in every gate fall and nearly kill you, convinced it is a trap you break the just established peace, 3 years and 2 months later the Wolf strikes with its full force and nearly kills you, you decide to fake your defeat by sending out a peasant in your, the king's, clothes. Happy with this victory the army loses interest in your castle and you can escape, you flee to a neerby castle, or well, castle, pile of rubble would be a better term.
Now, 6 weeks later, the Wolf found out, with the remains of his army he strikes you again, defend you castle!
I hope you all enjoy this map, it is not a part in the KQ series but still a good map.
P.S: Be sure to turn the map around a few times, the landscape looks good from all directions.

I was frustrated by the length of time before victory. Would you set the gamepley on more years with increasing attacking forces, it would deserve a sure five. As everything else is well set. You don't have time to extend the castle much, just reinforce it.
The settings of the available goods producing as well as the ressources locations combinated with the invasions and different events are fine. (I would not have put the travelling fair...)
Limited space for building, limited food chain, limited ressources... Well thought.
I like the fact you can build wheat farms but no windmill, although you can build bakeries: sell the wheat and buy the flour! Nice.

Besides the thin castle walls, the terrain looks pretty nice, I liked the placing of little bothering rocks here and there on the building space to the north of the map, near the influence zone of the signposts, where the stockpile is... ;)
So much work on the story. So much work on the map. So little time to play.
It's like you're eating a excellent dessert, and after two mouthfuls, someone takes the plate away...
I played - and succeeded - on very hard.
Yes, I moved the stockpile and placed it inside the castle... ;)
