Alagaesia - Carvahall

Author File Description
File Details
Map Size: 160x160 (Tiny)
Hey Guys! Not Many Stronghold Freebuild maps Lying Around, So Thought i Would Make A Whole Bunch Of Em!

This is Carvahall (If Any of You have Read Eragon You will know What This Place Is) Basicly Its a Small Village That Is Very peaceful. There Is No Lord Running This Place, Just Roran To Help manage the Place.

The Archers At the 'Table' Are Just there For Amusement. Please, Try Not To Delete The Tables, Wooden Walls, Hunters Posts, Etc, Because That Will basicly Wreck it. Because Carvahall Was Meant To be A Hunting Ground With A Great Inn Surronded By Walls.

I wanted to have lots Of Hovels Everywhere, but Because I didnt Want All You Worried People, I have Made them I the Enemys Colour, please Dont Destroy Them!

Peace out!

EDIT: Found out How To spell Village

Lord Gandor Ok, I kinda forgot to update review. Went on vacation...

Anyway, I ticked it up a little bit, there's an intro in the map and it's not all running when you start. However, a great roaring fire and some text from the books would top it nicely.

Say something about a camp-fire getting out of hand or something.

I Played With the Idea Of A Fire, Quite Awhile ago actually.

There Was A Major Flaw, That Would Make It Practically Impossible.

It Burnt Down Granery!

And i Was Like. -_-
So The Fire didnt Work.

And I Can't Write Up A Paragraph or Two On Carvahall Because I had to Give the book back to the library!

You left almost nothing for us to do,even if you had there was'nt enough room to, all I could do was send archers out to kill bunnies.

Balance: 4
Hard to analyze it's a freebuild.

Creativity: 4
The concept was good & a little different, not having read the book you speak of makes this hard to guage.

Pretty natural looking for the most part accept for the rock pile, I've no doubt I'd enjoy a map of yours done on a grander scale, for a first attempt quite good.

Story/Instructions: 3
This one always comes down to personal preference,I don't like a short novel type aproach as I'm eager to get building, this category gives us a quick insight into the designers imagination so just enough to set the mood, a little more would have been nice.

Additional Comments: As this is my first review though I've Downloaded & played a lot of maps by a lot of gifted designers from this site & thankyou all BTW, my understanding of the above categories may differ from those of more experienced reviewers but after all is said & done we all have our likes & dislikes & for the most part I like your style & look forward to more of your designs. Good effort.
