nice castle, keep up the good work! ;)
edit: its a skirmish i see now,... is the castle for the player of for th AI?
and its not really for multiplayer right? because the others outside the kings castle would never survive. :p

the castle is for the player. and what i like to do is allow the AI players to get their castles built before i begin fighting. this allows for a better game and also allows you to place everything you will need in your castle just where you want it.

The minimap sure looks good, Brooks. This map would probably be really good for multiplayer. AI's with large castles might castle-jam in the top left corner. I'll rate soon

Since Ai's are useless in a pre-biult castle condition, the centre keep is purely for the player. I wouldn't place a castle in a skirmish map !. makes the map play dull. The whole idea of playing skirmishes is to start off building one's castles and invade opponents with/without a competitve start. U hav clearly made a map that already has a large enough castle that would take lots of invasions to even bring down the walls, the walls are too thick (what're u afraid of?).
Such maps are too easy man. One can easily win over this map even at the computer's full advantage.

I too think its generally bad practice to include prefabricated castles in skirmish maps. It seems AI's never rebuild destroyed battlements if they're placed in the castle, while placing myself in the castle makes it so easy to defend I lose interest. I won't knock it till I try it though. After all, even when victory is certain, some like to just sit back and see the battles unfold. If it's too easy I'll try playing on maximum computer advantage and see how it does.
Here's something to consider for a challenge: How about the reverse scenario?...Let the game run for a while untill the AI's establish troops, castles, and economies. Save the map, convert the "sav" file back to a "map" file, then open back up in the editor to erase and replace your keep.
Now at the onset of the game YOU start from scratch, and the enemy AI's have the castles! I wonder if this would work.....

Dear Froobahooba!
I did play this map at the computer's full advantage and it was pretty easy. Like i said the walls of the castle are a bit thick and could be easily defended. Getit?

It's fun but the reason i give it 4 because my keep is enclosed, so i just build my army. I more like it when my keep not in the castle
Balance: 3
some unbalance. This caused it unfair if it played as multiplayer.
