Based on the authors post it is very apparent that this is his first invasion map and some merit is seen within. I found the layout to be somewhat interesting but would suggest a little more time be put into the map work to develop a more realistic landscape. All in all however, it was a pretty good effort.
The play of the map is actually very simple with the mass amounts of resources and foods available. I would suggest maybe forcing the player to hunt a little harder for resources in the future. Possibly balance out trade for certain items, rather than having everything available.
A few events near the beginning of the scenario made the start interesting, again though, these events should continue on throughout the mission to keep the player involved. As you move through the mission events no longer happen, and the player just builds up and repairs things while waiting on the next invasion. Even with the invasions become very large near the end, it was fairly simple to block off the advances and basically remove the threat before the attacking force reaches the walls of the castle.
The map design has a lot of potential and with some landscaping could become an interesting layout. Less flat lands and a few more hills would certainly help the effect.
The story itself was really not there and the rating was lowered because of it.
A good first run invasion and I can see potential in this designers work.

interesting map, and i agree with a lot of lorddresden's comments, this map is far from perfect, but i still had heaps of fun playing it.
the map is open, with nothing resrticting you except how fast you can work, which is often a change from many maps. which is which is why i give it above aberage for playabilty and creativity.
the map however was simple and very easy due to the easy by which you can seal off the wolfs attack, and that there is nothing stopping building a massive army. that brought the marks down, but if you love winning and watching lots of swordsmen get mown down, its worth a play.
