Chepstow Castle lies on the borders of England and Wales. Building work commenced just after the Normal Invasion by William Fitz Osbern. The castle has seen distinct periods of development throughout it's history. This map is set in 1302 when the castle was owned by Roger Bigod III. Chepstow was too far from the conflicts in Wales to be actively involved in the battles of Edward I. However, how would the mighty stronghold have fared if the fighting progressed to South Wales?
