A very beautiful map by Yoda48!
Playability: 4
Playability isn't perfect though, since you have to build churches in a city which already is full. Not mindblowing fun either really...so to speak.

Balance: 5
It has some cool battles. Every invasion destroyed the churches outside the castle, which made it hard to maintain the religion.

Creativity: 5
Nice idea, and creative built castle too. Elaborate design.

Map Design: 5
This is one of the most beautiful castles I have ever seen. Honestly.
Gardens, pillars and stone work everywhere. Superb work!

Story/Instructions: 5
8 pages of quality work. What more can you ask for?

Additional Comments:
Excellent looking map, but could be given more 'playability'... But come on for gods sake! Download!
Maybe you should put a birds eye view in the description so it gets more attention. But be patient with the reviews and downloads.

First of all, excellent map by Yoda.

Playability: 5
Not a perfect map, but most aren't first time around. It was a little annoying trying to build in an already full city, and annoying when the churches outside kept getting destroyed by invaders, but overall this map was very fun to play, and I would give it a 9 out of ten replay value.

*updated* Since the problems are fixed, it was more fun than before to play.

Balance: 5
Um........this is the category I had the most problems with.....I don't want to hurt this map, but this map was not balanced enough for my taste. The main problem was not so much the SIZE of the enemy armies, but their attacks. Since there was not enough room to build enough churches in the city, I was forced to build outside. I don't like doing that to begin with, but what made it worse was the fact that the enemy was so concerned with destroying my churches, that by the time they finally assaulted my city, there weren't enough of them to do anything but stand there, pointlessly trying to break through my gates while getting mown down by the defenders. I would say, to fix this, you can do one of three things.
1) Make room in the city to build churches.
2) Make the attacking forces larger.
3) Make the defending force smaller.

I don't like giving you a review like this, but compared to your other maps, the balance of this one was very lacking. I'm sorry, but......well, there you have it.

*updated* Much better, I thought. The invasions were a LOT tougher and, since they weren't busy destroying my churches, they attacked full force, instead of a weak group. Job well done.

Creativity: 5
This was quite good. There are only two other Gondolin maps, and I didn't like either one too much.

*updated* I re-thought this one, and realized, it doesn't matter if the other two came out first, this was the one that stood out. I had more fun playing this one than the other two, and the presentation of this map and it's victory conditions are unique to the Gondolin maps. So, new score for Yoda.

Map Design: 5
This was simply breathtaking. By far the best looking map you've done.

Story/Instructions: 5
Wow. That's a LOT of information and, like the Tolkien dork I am, I looked it all up for acuraccy, and it is all right. I love it.

Additional Comments:
Good to see you're improving. The balance was the one thing I have a problem with, but it didn't stop me from playing it again.........twice.

*updated* Awesome job. I look forward to your next map. To those of you out there who haven't downloaded this yet, what the HELL are you waiting for?!!! Anyway, great job. L_K

Dont quit if it seems hopeless!!! This is a engaging map that has the fine pedigree of LOTR for all the fans of Tolkien to soak up as well. Dont think that the crowded and uneven streets are a disadvantage here. I wont give away any secrets to the map here in playability, but its good enough for a low 5 from me. Keep up the good work.

Balance: 5
I needed to rethink my defense and rely more on the castle and its walls to have a real chance. I had help with a event later in the battle that wiped out many enemy! Dec 1069 is a great month.

Creativity: 5
Good work on the castle, story, LOTR reference, and presentation. The map is unique with the blessed win conditions. Nice job, a five in my book.

Map Design: 5
Structurally sound and error free map.

Story/Instructions: 4
Didnt have the extra needed write up for a 5 in my book.

Additional Comments:
ATTENTION LOTR fans, you need to play this. Everyone else....well.....what are you waiting for, click the download button.

Playability: 4
You start off with enough troops and after getting a good economy started I bougth iron for swords and armour.

Balance: 4
It was almost perfect for me on easy and the attacking forces where nicely balanced with A variety of troops. It also offers a little challenge because my churches and chapels kept getting destroyed so it took long but made it more fun.(I'm not a very good stronghold player)

Creativity: 4
Since this is a LOTR map it gets a 4 but if you made this map up it would net a 5.

Map Design: 5
A very good and well made city, perfect placement of workshops and nice idea to put small spaces for churches and chapels.

Story/Instructions: 5
A very good and long story which scores a 5 for me.

Additional Comments:
An extremely good map and so far I had no problems playing your other maps and this map.
