**Epilogue**
After the recent events, it's now no wonder how the Snake had become a worthy adversary to his opponent, the Wolf. We were forced to use every decietful tactic ever know to our age, and the Snake, being as decietful as they come, had probably done the same. Rest his soul...
The Wolf, retreating like the dog that he is, at our mercy however, had set out to conquer the remainder of the Snake's ill gotten lands. For now he seems to be content dealing with less dangerous populations than our own, and, quite frankly, I can't blame him. Hmm, perhaps you don't understand? Let me put it, step by step, the tactics we used in the last battle with the Wolf.
At our Lord's command, we immediatly began producing bows, and, bless his soul, a weary trader came and agreed to sell us armor in exchange for our stone deposits, and us, being in constant need for money, agreed wholeheartedly. After that was all said and done, we began destroying key points of the walls that could be targets for possible laddermen, almost simultaneously we started to distribute the pitch outside our walls, to light under the feet of unfortunate passerby. Our Lord, gracious as he is, began raising troop moral as gold began to materialize in sufficient quantaties inside the treasury, and it made a difference, believe me! Then, recruiting various engineers, we began ordering them to construct portable walls to defend our archers from incoming enemy archer fire.
We left the rest to fate, and by George we won the day as sure as the retreating sounds of the Wolf's barking men! Now there, ahhhhhh...now it's time to relax in our newfound peace. Bugger off would ya', or stay here and help us rebuild the place!

Playability: 5
This is a really entertaining map. You have to think very well on how to manage your castle from a huge attack with only 10 peasants! You have to make use of any dirty trick available to you to win the day...
Took me three times to beat, that's about what makes me put a 5 on playability.
Balance: 4
In this map you are hoplessly outnumbered, so there's no balance at all, but if traps are in use this may even up the odds.
Creativity: 5
The story is creatively made, and the scheme of the scenario is nice too. The castle itself is a bit simple, but the form it has is nicely thought out :)
Map Design: 3
The map looks a bit simple, but the appearance can trick you here (Read playability)
Story/Instructions: 5
A nice Story, also the zip file has tips and a walkthrough icluded, giving more points for the instructions. Well done.
Overview:
This is the map I call "Boring day map". If you are bored and you are sick of the other maps you have in stronghold and crusader, download this map and it will have you sitting in front of your computer all afternoon trying to beat that stupid army of the wolf :) |
