In responce to aubergine's challenge to all for maps where we can burn things, you may now burn London.
UPDATE: I've updated the map so that most of the buildings will get populated before the fire and there are now no victory conditions. Also, if you want to burn things faster, find the arsonists and have them do their worst.
This map is quite unlike any other I have seen as it's based on a city rather than a castle. As soon as you start the scenario you are confronted by the wonderful sight of ye olde London sprawling out across your screen.
As LadyVamp says, it's mostly about burning (and boy does it burn!!!) but there are some "win conditions" that actually prompt you to rebuild the map once the inferno has subsided. The key issue here is that the "duration" of this map is perhaps a little too long.
I wasn't really sure how to rate balance for this map - there are no attacking armies that I detected. As there are phases of this map where you just have to wait for it to do it's stuff (bring marshmallows and some potatoes in tinfoil, treacle and other bonfire night goodies will be useful too) I gave balance 4.
Never seen anything like it! Well, there are maps where paved roads are used, but nothing like this one. The way the fire spreads is very unique and yet very accurate to the event. The "docks" area (for want of a better description) makes great use of the wooden platforms eye-candy. The use of pitch shows that LadyVamp is set to become one of the prime pyromaniacs on SHH.
Map Design: 5
Truly awesome map. Not only does it look different from just about anything else you will see, but it also works really well too. The careful control of the burning due to innovative map design definately gives this map a 5/5!
Story / Instructions: 4
The story is taken from history, but the fact that the map ties in so well and actually gives you a sense of what it was like to be there strengthens the story so much that I was bordering on giving it a 5/5.
