Play the game on normal or hard. Try VERY HARD for an extreme challenge. The story is included with the map. This is a pretty fun siege if you are defending. Attacking is less fun unless you play with a lot less troops. There are some cool things in this map like a pitch ambush, two ancient roman towers, some landscaping...(hope you enjoy the natural valleys and rivers!)
Playability: 5
Now this was the bit that I LOVED about this map. I've just played it about 10 times in a row, and still want to play it. The enjoyment I got out of this map was a gift and I thank the maker for creating such a map. Why? It's a bit on the small side yet the enemy just keep on coming in endless waves that threatens to overwash your defences and therefore I had to do a lot of quick thinking and mouse clicking. A great challenge on very hard. On attacking its not as fun as all I had to do was capture the tower, put xbows in and build a treb to take down the walls. It was still pretty fun
Balance: 4
The balance was rather leaning in terms of troops, but the use of pitch evens it up. I still think that when defending the enemy has slightly too many troops from normal upwards. Other than that, good work!
Creativity: 4
It was a nice idea, the map looked fairly good, the castle had a simple, strong design and the towers and ruins were nice. Although we've seen them all 1000+ times, most have a flair of original quality, like this one.
Map Design: 4
I liked your attention to detail on this map, the trees were well placed,(unlike mine, mine go all over the place) the rivers had good detail and the castle looked good. The one thing that annoyed me was the beach with cliffs. It wasnt a very good layout and wasnt very realistic. It went from high ground instantly down to minimun height. You then placed a very out-of-place beach with rocks scattered around it. Beaches and sea's dont look good unless at least 1 out of for of the map is a costal area.
Story/Instructions: 3
It was a well thought story (or was it historical facts?) but I found it was a little too short for my liking. Just write a little more
Additional Comments:
Everbody out there whos got 10 minutes to spare, play this map!
