This map was a fun one. I was able to get in and start playing right away, which made it very enjoyable. The only problem I had was that it was very short and there really was no need to make this an invasion, except for the invading part. Putting in all that food and gold is just annoying, in a way.
The balance here for a first try was good, but it was extremely easy to fight off the invasions. Vast numbers of spearmen can't really take on a bunch of macemen and swordsmen. Maybe make the enemy troops stronger?
Very good idea to use actual history to base a map on. Only problem here was that it's been done before. :p

Map was great. I looked it over and it looked quite nice, from the waterfall to the bridge. The AI didn't use the bridge though. They seem to like and get wet in the fords.
No story so this gets a one.
Excellent first map! Just work on the story and the balance issue and I think you'll be good!

This map is one big battle made up of several invasions. Pretty fun! There are many ways across the river, including a nicely made bridge. Plenty of reinforcement arms and armor, but you dont get to use it all with a limited pop and time. But still a great battle, so 5 playability.
I was going to give this a 3 balance at first because I was mopping up the invaders solidly at the beginning. I changed my mind after the last big armor attack by enemy to a four balance. I never used the trebs.
Good idea and pretty creative use of wall.

I thought the extra river crossings were too sneaky. They caused mass chaos in the huge battle when the enemy poured through a different part of the river. Also the enemy bunch up in the crossings (easy for trebs?).
You get a whole webpage to use in the description. Use it!
