Difficulty: Hard
Tiers is a world in a universe created by Phillip Jose Farmer. In this universe a family of near immortals is able to create a series of pocket universes where natural law varies from universe to universe. Incidently, Earth is one of these Universes. Tiers is a world that is built like a stepped pyramid or ziggurat with the ruler with on the top tier. In this story the rightful Lord has been evicted from his home, by a family member, and finds himself on the lowest tier. To regain his rightful place he must fight his way back to the top. My advice is to place Wolf on top tier allied with Richard, Fredrick or Saladin on the middle tier. You of course are free to play anyway you like. If you want more of a story buy THE WORLD OF TIERS by Phillip Jose Farmer and get a good read. Von Kamstra

Excellent. The map works well with no errors. All Ai's are able to build capable castles and are willing to launch some serious attacks, especially if you are at the bottom of the tiers in a 3 vs 1 Skirmish.

Balance: 5
If you play 1vs1vs1vs1 the balance would be fine. It works whereever you play on the tiers.

Based on universal theory by Phillip Jose Farmer. But who cares its a great map, an original idea and a great concept for Stronghold Crusader users to get their meat hooks into.

Great. No fancy buildings or structures clogging up the map. Just the Keeps, plenty of room and lots of resources. Great.

Story/Instructions: 3
No real story except the details about the Phillip Jose Farmer story. (I well well buy a copy too. ha!) But again with a map this good who cares.

Additional Comments:

I put Wolf on the top tier, with Frederick and the Abbot in the middle tier and me at the bottom in a 3 vs 1 scenario.

Still playing it and it's tough for me. Others may find this too much or easy going. I resisted the urge to attack with Assassins early to try and make a game of it, which I have.

One of the best Skirmish maps I have downloaded so far. Excellent. Worth the download.

Excellent map, and a blast to play. This score was based largely on the balance. The numbers are not in your favour, and for me this adds a great deal of fun. Replay value for this map is very high.

Balance: 4
A good fight, very challenging. By the time you're ready to fight the Wolf (or whoever's at the top), he's had plenty of time to get ready, and it makes for a challenging fight. And after these comments, why not a perfect score? Because I didn't lose. That's the only reason.

Creativity: 5
The design and setup of this map is unique. I enjoyed it.

Map Design: 5
Very nice. Not a style that's cone too often, in my opinion not enough. Cliff battles are more challenging, and all-around more fun.

Story/Instructions: 3
You had something, at least. Some people just fill in one or two lines and then something in the game itself.

Additional Comments:
A great map. To other mapmakers, this map is a must-have for someone who likes a challenge. Keep designing!
