Your Astrologer has predicted a famine 20 years from now. You have decided to step up production on food and ale in order to have enough on hand to last through the famine. The problem is, that others have heard of the coming famine also and they will try to take that which you are striving to save.
This map plays well at normal difficulty. It can be a real challenge at the harder settings. I did try to add some interest to the map with an aquaduct that brings water from a lake into the castle.
If you should take longer than the 20 years to accomplish the goals, it gets very nasty. The famine will strike and you will have a good size fight on your hands in order to hold onto what you have gathered. If you want to try the fight at the end, I suggest holding back on the "good things" so you don't win before the final battle. You will need to vastly increase your defense if you decide to try the final battle.
Very difficult map. I played this one on normal 3 times before I finally got it right. Excellent economic balance. Very tricky. The invasions came at just enough of a frequency that I found it difficult to let my guard down. Making it very difficult to meet the massive economic goals. That of course, is the point of the scenario, so I didn't mind the near impossible challenge.
Nice design too, Great aquaduct running through the town. My only complaint is that the enemy troops never attacked the aquaduct, so I felt no reason for keeping troops guarding it. But that really is a criticism of the AI rather than the designer.
By the way, when the story warns you have only 20 years to build up your food stocks, take it seriously.
