This little scenario is set during the times of Frederic Barbarossa, shortly after he's been crowned Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire. As a loyal friend of the Emperor you are supporting his cause by sending the emperor arms and money, while making sure his faith is kept by your people. With the Emperor often away it is also a time of bandits.
NOTE: Even though these games are labelled as Invasion maps, they concentrate at least as much, if not more on the Economic challenges.
Tips: - you will be attacked both by soldiers and bandits - this scenario is all about using space effectively
This was a great scenario with lots of thought required just to survive. Although the map is very difficult to find open space, with thoughtful planning it is very playable.
I enjoyed the playability of the map, and had to restart two times before I could set up just right. With the layout of the map, the player is forced to plan out every detail of his/her storage and make sure room is available for the required goals. Nicely planned.
The map was well balanced, and over the time of the game, many events will keep the player interested. I found at one point during the mission there seemed to be a lull in the action and it maybe could have been tightened up a bit. This may also be due to the 40 percent speed I was playing at.
A very creative layout and setting for the story and a great deal of pleasure to play.
The map design was unique and offers the player many tough choices. The layout was very well planned and looks very natural. Excellent map design.
The story itself was very enjoyable and a great read. Most map designers do not spend a great deal of time on the presentation of the scenario and it tends to take away from the adventure. In this case, the author has provided a good deal of information wrapped up in a great story package.
Well done, I look forward to many more.

I liked the scenario. It was definitely a challenge to find space.
Playability - I thought the timing on events was pretty good. After setting my initial workers, I tend to take some forces and kill all the local wolves and bears. I swear one spot must have had 30 wolves :)
Balance - I liked the balance. I didn't find it too hard or too easy.
Creativity - Wow, the castle was really a complex work or art. I found it had just barely enough room for what I needed. The rest of the map was very attractively set up.
Map Design - As above, the map worked well. The only issue I came across was in trying to add a second stone quarry next to the exiting one is that it kept putting the pad up high amoung some rocks making it inaccessable. One of the other quaries was too close to the enemy and would auto distroy when they entered the map near it.
Story/Instructions - The story was good to get you in the mood of the place.
