Difficulty: Impossible
"Natural wonders," says the king. "An absolutely beautiful oasis. Anyway, workers! We shall start a civilisation here. I sense much fortune will come to us."

After the desrtuction of your previous city, you and some remaining peasants fled out into the country with breath-taking scenery and lots of wildlife. The king has never seen such beauty because he grew up in the city and was taught the ways of his father: Be tough and courageous, never leave your men to die. But after the city was raided and burnt to the ground, the new king was a coward. But will the countryside be any better?

the playbility of the map is not bad. the inasion is not imppsoble.I have won the scenario, and it was not so hard.

The map itself, as a whole, was quite enjoyable.

I liked the story (a little short, though), and the idea behind the map. And the design was close to awesome: it looks really great!

The balance was a little off for me. I had enough resources around me to rapidly prepare an army, so by the time the first invasion came, I was ready. Maybe a few small invasions early on, to disrupt the player, would amend this. I had many months to prepare. I wouldn't say impossible, though.

Other than the balance, I had no real problems with this map, other than the story (a little short, but good). Excellent job, all in all. Keep designing!

Playability: 4
The layout for this map was great. Nice twist and turns and things to see making the map very enjoyable. A map that I will play again.

Balance: 2
This is where my disapointments started. I love the gorge and the many water crossings and I think they where very nicely laid out. I also enjoyed haveing so many enemy milita being flung my way, BUT the way I had designed my castle I had ended up funneling all the troops very eisly into an onslaught of my arrows. I think a couple more sign posts would easily fix this. The other fix would be some siege weapons for the enemy. You cant send an army off to go atack a castle without them. They rarely reached my walls. I did however love the massive attack of the assassins, they added a nice twist to my defence. With the funneling from one place causing them to bottle neck I easily destroyed the enemy. I also had AMPLE resourses which could posibly be pulled back some.

Creativity: 4
You attempted a story, and you put a lot of time into a realistic flow. More then most others do. I liked the mass of lions at the begining, they almost got me off course.

Map Design: 4.5
This is where I liked the map the most. The pure topography alone I thought was fantastic and I loved the ruins, very well laid out.

Story/Instructions: 3.5
Simple and to the point, only thing was the ruind castle looked like it had been in ruins longer then the story let on.

Additional Comments: I'll be looking at your other maps for future downloads, thanks for the fun!

Oh, yeah. In the map, the ruined city is not meant to be the one your king escaped from. Sorry about that. Also, kzGash, I have a problem when I make invasions who have seige weapons and engineers. The engineers don't man the siege weapons...-???. So I just don't make them.

kzGash I can understand that and come to think of it... the only times i messed around with an invader I already had the enemy on the map and the engineers already on the equipment before I start playing the map... I'll have to look into that myself and see how to do it. If it can be done (and there must be a way) that would GREATLY enhance the balance of the map. (along with some other sign posts)

p.s. Whos ruined castle is that then?

I didn't really think about who's ruined castle it is... oh, well it is an ancient city, their civilisation died hundreds of years ago and the vines and grass took over.

I just thought it would be something cool to look at.
