I found the map quite easy. U had already provided enough troops to hold out a couple of invasions. And more than enough gold. I didn't have to take any of my troops out of the castle besides the horsemen. The invasions came from all four corners but weren't a real threat. If u disable Dig moat, reduce the gold and some troops then it would be more challenging.
But it was fun. Enjoyed it

Well, I decided to give this map a go. It was quite enjoyable actually, but there were a few things I wasn't too keen on.
First issue was with balance. I had enough troops to hold against the first 3 invasions. There were simply too many starting troops and too much gold. Not only did I have a ton of gold at the beginning, all the resources I needed were right outside my castle. I never lost one building because of the strongholder's friend, "moats". I just dug a giant moat completely around my castle, put my missle units on the opposite shore, and picked off the invaders one by one.
The other issue I had was with the map itself. It was, for the most part, flat wide open dessert. All the resourced just looked slapped into place. It should look more natural, scattered even, for a better score in this category. The river was alright, but still a litte unrealistic.
Lastly, the story. You had one at least, and that's more than I can say for some of the other maps here at SH. It was a little one the short side, you have a whole web page to work with. You might as well use it.
Don't be discouraged, I did like this map. It was really fun, the Ai worked and attacked well (when I let them past the moat, anyway...) And there were no noticble flaws in gameplay itself. Just fix a few things, and you'll have a winner. Keep designing!
