It's been a long journey home. You can see though the trees the ruins of a castle. You can’t believe that it’s home. Upon arrival survivors tell you the epic story of what happened.
They said that your brother grew jealous of you for the fact that your father chose you to be king. So your brother moved north and built his own castle. He also joined an alliance with The Wolf II. The survivors have asked you to help rebuild the castle and kill your brother. You agree.
LET THE BLOOD FLOW OUT THE KEEP AND DOWN THE RIVER!
Well. Quite the interesting map. I've been following the maps you've submitted, and this one was my favorite. There were, however, some slight flaws, but nothing that couldn't be fixed.
Map design and balance are tied together, because one affected the other:
Balance: All the resources around me gave me the ability to raise a decent sized army quickly. Therefore, the map was much easier.
Map Design: There was a literal "ton" of oasis land, perfect for building, and I wager that a good 90% of the map was forest. Again, this allowed for the creation of an giant army more than capable of defending my keep.
In order to fix these minor (and I do mean MINOR) problems, I would (and this is just me, you don't have to do this) add a some smaller invasions early on in the game, (not the first month or two, mind you!) maybe a handful of light to medium soldiers, to keep the player "on their toes", so to speak. Maybe even add some seige weapons in them. And not in numbers of 2 or 3, more like 4 or 5. The first rule of seiges and invasions: Never make it easy on the player.
Other than these two things, this map was a lot of fun to play. I look forward to your next map. Keep designing!
