Asart Lands

These are lands rich in resoures with olive groves, rugged gorges and giant rocks sculpted by the wind into fantastic shapes. Pigs amble across the roads to gnaw at some underbush.

The isolated communities and tightly knit clans remain long after these lands saw invasions from the east. Little by little however, the splendid isolation is being erosed by modern inventions and modern wars. And yet the pastoral life lives on. In fact, once one leaves the few narrrow strips of costal plains and heads up in the mountains in summer, there will still be goatherds with their flocks. Comming down from the mountain pastures, crossing the roaring river there are these assart lands which hold great bounty. Now after several years, conflict between the clans and the greed of kings to capture these lands results to a war.

Author’s Notes:

Everything is within reach and each player is given enough to start off and advance well. Who will rule over these resource rich assart lands?

Solarian Your maps are godly.

File Author
Thanks Solarian.
I just found out a way to make custom wheat/hop farms. This map has a little of it.

Watch for my new invasion map "Demier's Last"
Lord4life your maps are to good for words. can't wait for the next map!
Dark NeRo yeah your maps are great, I would like to see some invasion maps from you, and will maybe review your nex invasion map?
One more question: are you planning to make some maps for normal stronghold, too?
File Author
Thanks Lord4life & Dark Nero

I have thought about that. But I've found that designing a stronghold map is much different. I'm used to making crusader maps.

Sir Ravenclaw Yes, designing a Stronghold map is much different to designing a Crusader map - as I am experiencing with a current crusader map I am working on!

Your maps are incredible - but in most cases they almost have the same thing to do - sometimes some of your maps have equal amounts of resources as the others - try to make a skirmish map but not use so much oasis and stone and iron sources - but that's just my opinion ;)

Point noted.I agree most of my maps have lots of green ,oasis and rivers in it. I thought it might bring a change to the usual dry, barren type maps. And i have to say most of the maps i make have resources (stone/iron) rather close to each keep. I concerntrate more on terraining. Figured that would make playing more enjoyable.

I'll try to make some different ones.
