This is the sad and tragic tale of a King who has gone looking for his pet chicken Todd. Hearing that some credible sightings have been made up north where the Monks stay at the chappel, he summons his Royal Guard to help him on his way, and heads north to the chappel. Finding hide nor hair,....nor feathers, he sadly and downheartedly turns back towards home, only to hear the alarm for attack sounding. Will the King be able to find Todd in time and make it back to the castle? Will Todd find his King? Will they make it back together,...or will one of them die? Todd should be easy to spot......hes a little white chicken, and he's very attached to the King.... TO BE PLAYRD ON THE "HARD" setting!!
This is a great little siege with a really different and enjoyable storyline. I chuckled at the site of the chicken and wonder how the author was able to present this feature. Very funny and fun at the same time.
The map plays out very well as defender and it will require some thinking to have success. As attacker there really is no challenge, because of the access to the lord early on.
Great marks for both playability and balance of this mao go to the author. The new and refreshing twist to the game made it unlike most siege maps.
Creativity, well what can I say. I have not run across a story until now that actually made me laugh. This was total and complete fun for me. I do plan on playing it again just for the chuckle.
The map itself is nicely laid out and the only thing that I personally did not really like, is the use of ocean water for inland rivers. The map itself is very nicely done and has a good deal of effort put into it.
I think I have mentioned the story itself in every other rating category and I will again mention it. It was fun and truly enjoyable. Very original for a Stronghold Seige map.
The scores may seem a bit high for this map if you are a die hard siege player. This map has been rated by me in a completely different manner than usual. The author captured my enjoyment through the storyline and use of a chicken to bring it all home. As a siege map it may not be a huge challenge. But as an adventure and a great scenario, this is a real winner.

Hysterical mission. Very creative! I felt the defending army was a little large though, making it a little less challenging than it could have been. However that didn't seem to really be the main point of the map. Great method of showing the effect of a surprise attack. I always wished you could assign escorts to the king and this scenario effectivly does that.

Playability: 4
Pretty funny all the way through, but the main action is already at the beginning, when you're trying to get the king to the castle.
Balance: 4
Rescuing the king is rather hard at the higher levels, but the rest of the map plays off rather easily.
Creativity: 5
Highly creative, not only the unusual story, but also that you have to get the king to the keep.
Map Design: 4
Nice one, a clear 4. More work is needed for a 5.
Story/Instructions: 5
Highly creative and actually funny.
