Lord Karpathea Great map, really sucked to be the guy in the middle though! ;) I'll probably review this one........sometime........eventually.

This isn't a map for beginners if you begin in the middle and are against 4 other good computers or humans, you are basically dead within 10 minutes maybe less.i take map making serious but sometimes it does not go after the plan,i have a lot of maps that are in the beginning phase,so expect more maps soon.

Lord Karpathea Ha-ha! Beat it! Eventually...........I was determined to win as the person in the middle, and after seven or eight tries, I, it sucked though.....not the map, being in the middle. Oh well. I'd review but I'm in a really lazy mood right now, so I'll probably get around to it in the next few days.

Nicely done Lord Karpathea,i can't even beat it myself,i have tried several times.guess i must keep trying to beat my own map.Being in the middle is very hard because of the lack of resources but gather iron solves a lot of economical problems.
Lord Karpathea Hey, I'm not as lazy as I thought.

Well, the way I did it was (I play as an Muslim) plop down a couple apple orchards to keep my people happy, than quickly built a force of arabian swordsmen (10-15), and sent them northeast. The person was to busy gathering stone and not making soldiers, so I took care of one opponent quickly. After that, I spent my time gathering and spending any remaining resources into building a giant stone wall streching across the lower half of my castle, put in a couple of balistas and rode out the attacks. Try it, it does work. After the top opponent I'd go for the one directly below you, but that's just me.

The map itself was spectacular. I've always loved the idea of hopeless odds. It's more dramatic, if you will (if not, too bad). Anyhoo, the balance was unbalanced, but I had the resources I needed to combat my enemies. So good enough for me.

As for a story, I think it's a topic that's very much disputed on these types of maps. I didn't want to bring down this review any, because it's just such a great map.

In short, Kudos. I'm looking forward to your next map(s).
