In 1184 king Richard the Lionheart established a union of four greatest European rulers: Duke Wolpe, Emperor Frederick, Lord Phobos and Richard himself. Lionheart also banked a huge mound for his allies to build castles. The mound was a perfect defense against enemies and soon the union was named The Steel Foursome; foes couldn’t even reach the castle walls.
In a couple of years Lord Phobos got stronger than the other three and suggested that he should be the leader of The Steel Foursome. It was a big mistake. Richard banished him from the union and destroyed his castle leaving Phobos without castle or army. Phobos wanted to revenge, to see the blood of those, who betrayed him. Will they feel Phobos’ wrath or dispose of him? It’s up to you…
This is a skirmish version of the map. I’ve done some modifications to make the map a little easier. Now these things cannot be built:
• Mercenary post
• Wheat farm
• Low wall
• Ballista
• Catapult, Trebuchet, Portable shield, fire ballista
• Oil smelter, stables
• Tunneler’s guild
• Square, defense and look out towers
• Large stone gatehouse, killing pits, moat digging and drawbridges
• Hop farm
• Church, apothecary, well
• Tanner’s workshop
Opponents who defend their castles with moat shouldn’t fight in this map. The best way to play is 3 vs 1. You can try these missions:
Very easy: Human vs Rat Duce de Puce
Rat the Stoat
Sultan Abdul (on top)
Gold: Human - 8000, computer lords – 2000 (normal game)
Easy: Human vs Pig Duce Truffe
Marshal Sir Longarm
Abbot of Stirling (on top)
Gold: Human – 4000, computer lords – 2000 (crusader game)
Medium: Human vs Emir Omar(on top)
Pig Duce Truffe
Caliph the Scorpion
Gold: Human – 2000, computer lords – 2000 (normal game)
Hard (original) : Human vs Wolf duce Volpe (on top)
Richard the Lionheart
Emperor Frederick
Gold: Human - 3000, computer lords – 40000 (deathmatch game)
Very Hard: Human vs Wolf duce Wolpe(on top)
Saladin the Wise
Saladin the Just
Gold: Human – 2000, computer lords – 8000 (normal game)
I hope you will like this version of my map.

Hello Dido. I saw your comment and here's the answer:
It's quite simple:
1. When you created you custom scenario map (banned the buildings etc.) press ALT and , (Alt comma). A table will appear with your map resolution and map types: single and multi.
2. Choose the multi type and save it. But this works only for building availability. Trading, starting goods and other stuff won't work in skirmish maps.
That's it, i hope you understood. Sorry about the wheat farms :) |

Macemen are really great melee troops, both fast and efective :) i use them in rush tactics next to arabian and european bows and horse archers (sometimes knights). |

A fine skirmish mission with considerate restrictions. At least, xbows and macemen are available. So one can take over & hold strategic positions in the valley and get ranged backing in melee attacks against the AI castles.
For a much harder version compare the invasion map "Unwanted". |
