-* Brothers Unite *-
Since 'The Rats' defeat all has been quiet in your new realm (See Scribes Report titled "Overlords Realm - Part 2 - Enemies Made").
But, suddenly your faithful scribe comes bursting into the room and brings dire news.
Its seems that The Rat had family in these parts, and he was just the 'litte brother'. Due to pressing matters as upgrading the castles defenses, training soliders etc. you have been unable to do anything about the troops massing on the realms borders. Reports are they are the troops of The Rats older brothers, 'Snake' and 'Pig'.
Rumour has it that he has another brother called 'The Wolf'. But, it has been said that he can't be concerned with these 'petty bickerings', he didn't like his youngest bother and feels it serves him right for 'allowing himself to be defeated'. Unfortunatly, 'The Snake' and 'The Pig' don't share his outlook. Both have vowed to revenege for this hienous act against the family honour.
Playability: I enjoyed playing this scenario, there is lot of defensive fighting and tactical decisions to make. However, when I played it on the very hard level I found a little problem. The massive final invasion came and eventually broke through and I thought I was defeated. Yet despite the fact that I was outnumbered 5 to 1 and the hordes of pikemen were about to skewer my handful of remaining archers I was abruptly declared the victor. In my opinion a minor addition in the editor would solve this and make this scenario work much better.
Balance: I found the size of the opposing forces to be a challenge on hard and very hard. The normal setting was not much of a challenge at all. I did win the scenario each time I played.
Creativity: I did not find this a particularly creative scenario.
Map Design: Although I like the castle in particular, still I thought the map itself was fairly standard.
Story: Pretty well done. I have read the first 2 background stories and this appears to be a pretty good story line.
Conclusion: Until I found the little glitch on very hard I found the invasions well done and the fighting fast and furious. I look forward to trying the other maps by this author.
