Story:
The land has been to war for far too long. When returning to your hometown Smalllake after a long campaign for the King, you meet a town which has been just as much in war as you have. It has barely survived. Its people are tired, hungry and afraid.
You have information indicating that the enemy will return for this strategicaly important town.
To meet this threat you must get the town on its feet again. The people need their hope and trust up again. Not to mention the morale and tiredness of your troops - they need some R&R!!!
This town needs a leader or else its lost - are you the one ???
Mapinfo:
The map size is fairly small. You have the resources needed for sucess, but you must be smart about it.
There will be an minor attack fairly soon - protect your woodcutters the best you can !!
I´ve tried hard to make it a challenge both on the resource and battle sides. There are no marketplace advantages -
you have to get what you need yourself :)
The scenario is for about 16-18 years. I have testplayed it alot on normal and I hope it will
be a lot of fun for both novices (easy mode) and for experts (normal/hard).
Here is some of my thoughts when making the map (reffering to your views on the playability :)
I wanted it to be a challenge on the resource side, thats why I dont allow you to build all the food types.
Its the same with woodcotters/hunters. Some stuff you have at startup, but are not allowed to rebuild.
This makes it extra important to manage through the first little invasion (only a few enemys, but fast... - it is possible to manage through this "ok").
The market advantage was disabled as I wanted the player to build up his economy himself. There are ways of getting food...
The marketbuilding was there however, to make the town look better (I wanted som nice different townbuildings forming streets .. :)
I guess that different people has different ways of approaching this - I like it when you have limited buildings, and I hope others do to.
Thanks again for the feedback - its difficult to improve if one doesnt get new ideas/views. I will take note of your views.....
