Castlefreak that may be a forest, but why did you make it so dense? with so many, the player would have to have an army of woodcutters if they let it go too far
younghappy Good, a new map, and I see that you have improved abit. The terrain is a quite patchy, as in-place a big chunk of stones in this corner and place something else in this corner. Try to blend them all together and make it look more natural. You are still improving and I hope to see you submit more maps.

If you are placing quarry stones, make them in the hills possibly under an outcrop to look as if the hill has collapsed to reveal stones. In the hills scatter some dirt, rocks, stones but don't group them totgether. In lower lying areas scatter mud and dirt all over, not too much and place the odd rock here and there.
Dont have too many big cliifs in a map unless you are making a rocky mountian or have coastal cliffs. Try using the equiliser tool to blend diferent elevations more natually.

Rivers usually start in the hills and several smaller stream join together to form a bigger river in the low lying areas. The rivers are narrow and rocky up stream and wider with less rocks in low lands. Try to place a few trees and shubs near rivers.

When placing trees here is what to do
Pine trees are suited in the hills/mountians in a more barren terrain.

Oak and chestnut trees are suited to low lying areas-especially river valleys.

Birch trees are suited to swamps and marshy ground.

To see how to put this all put together professionaly, you can visit the forums to see some good maps and get advise. I recomend taht you download Sulis' new map Bretwaldia-Northumbria. It is an excelent map and has a perfect landscape.

Good luck and I hope to see some more maps from you.

Dido Sparrow can you delete my profile?I want to create new with new name, please! ;-)
Sparrow Dido, I have no power to delete your account. I'm not sure that you can delete your own account either. However, it is not necessarily against the rules to create a second account. It should only be done with good reason and if it's done with the intent to avoid a ban or create mischief like reviewing your own maps, making bad reviews or comments on others work, etc, then you are subject to a permanent ban.

If you do create a second account it would be nice if you could announce it so we will know who you are. It would also be advisable to post a comment stating your new identity on each of your submitted maps. Really helps eliminate any confusion.

Dido No, I don't want to hide myself with other accounts.Just I want new name, because I made this one experimenting. Before time I wanted to get an account here, but something always don't let me to do this.So I start experimenting and when I get account succesfull I was with the experimental name, so it will be great if I have new name.
